Event: Women's Self Defense & Personal Safety Workshop

This workshop will be instructed by former Calgary City Police officer and martial arts expert Ira Macumber and his son serving RCMP officer, Matt Macumber.  They are the developers of the '5%' Police and Public Safety Program which teaches self defense and safety techniques to both civilian and law enforcement professionals.  This program is designed to be effective and easy for everyone to learn and use regardless of your size and physical capabilities.  This workshop will be tailored for women's self defense and will be a mix of classroom and hands on training with an emphasis on learning first hand how to defend yourself during a variety of confrontations. Some of the topics to be covered include:
-  personal day to day precaustions
-  Personal management during confrontations
-  how to develop a 'survival mentality' and build confidence
-  hands on self defense training.

1 day 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Registration Fee:  $50   Bring a bag lunch and water. Wear athletic clothing.
Minimum 6 registrants.
