Learn how to safely use various materials, tools and techniques for welding. This course covers the basics of shielded metal arc welding with related theory and practical lab instruction. You will learn how to weld common joint types on mild steel that is often encountered in manufacturing, construction and repairs. Increase your good welding habits by getting hands on experience in fusion welding of mild steel in both shielded arc welding, GMAW (MIG) and torch cutting and care for equipment.
