The Canadian Firearms Safety Course is a pre-requisite in the application process for a Possession Acquisition License for firearms and ammunition. The intent of the Safety Course is to ensure that all participants are familiar with the legislation pertaining to the storage, transportation and use of non-restricted firearms. Safe handling techniques are essential for the use of firearms to protect the user and others from incident. This course is available to anyone 12 years of age or older.
NOTE: This course is a ‘once in a lifetime’ requirement unless under court order to retake the course.
